J. Johnson – DJ/MC
Growing up listening to Motown classics such as the Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and the Temptations, J. Johnson’s love for music started at a young age. Learning to enjoy music at its finest has given J a solid foundation of great artists and songs which he has built on over the years, leading to his musical taste that now spans through decades of genres.
J graduated from UMass Amherst where he studied Communications, and performed as an on-air personality Disc Jockey for their radio station. J’s passion for music continued through his attendance at Mass School of Music.
His career in music has taken him to such opportunities as running an Indie Record Company (Gold Star Records) and working for an artist management company whose clients included R&B Artist, N’Dee Ellis, and the Rock Group, Mind’s Eye Hurricane.
While J is learning the ropes as a wedding DJ, he is no stranger to the DJ scene. As an avid performer of various events, J enjoys DJing for corporate events, night clubs and parties, which includes the 2012 Spring Training event for the New York Giants players and their families.
J is a dedicated, passionate, and professional DJ who would be thrilled to be a part of your special event. His exceptional DJ and musical background will really shine through with his ability to rock the dance floor at your next event or wedding!
